Research findings have shown that black adolescents have different identity formation patterns than white adolescents. This text presents, discusses, and offers approaches to understanding the results
of longitudinal studies of white and black adolescents. Multiple facets of method, data, and theoretical models are taken up in turn. Two new chapters have been added to this second edition; the chapters review the
relevant literature since 1970 and reconsider the initial interpretations of the findings. |
