This book reviews the basic fundamentals of seepage and infiltration into structural sections, and flow of water out of drainage systems. It presents methods for evaluating drainage systems and the
damage caused by heavy wheel impacts on pavements containing excess water. It gives the basic criteria needed for designing these systems, with several examples of their analysis and design. Since the major differences
of pavements are in their dimensions and proportions, but the problems with water are essentially alike, no attempt has been made to separate airfield and highway pavements into two or more different categories of
structural types. |
